Built in 1938 by a small group of Muslim pioneers in Edmonton, the Al Rashid Mosque was Canada’s first mosque. It has stood as a symbol of faith, strength, and unity. Starting with just ten families praying and building it themselves, it remains an important part of Muslim life and history in Canada.
